The Better Butchers and Genuine Taste Collaborate on Hybrid Meat Development


The Better Butchers, an acquisition target of CULT, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Genuine Taste to create a hybrid meat product. This product will combine The Better Butchers’ mycelium-based protein with cultivated fat from Genuine Taste, a Canadian company specializing in the production of animal fat through cellular agriculture.


This collaboration provides The Better Butchers with access to Genuine Taste’s cultivated fat, a new ingredient designed to replicate the texture and flavor of traditional animal fat. The inclusion of cultivated fat is expected to enhance the taste and texture of hybrid meat products while offering a more sustainable and ethical alternative to conventional meat.


The partnership supports The Better Butchers’ focus on creating alternative proteins that are both functional and appealing to consumers. CULT’s binding agreement to acquire 100% of The Better Butchers’ shares, announced in December 2024, further aligns the company with its broader goals of advancing food technologies.


Noochies! Integrates Cryptocurrency Payments and Gains Industry Recognition


CULT’s pet nutrition brand, Noochies!, has introduced cryptocurrency payment options, enabling customers to purchase its products using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Dogecoin. The move is intended to broaden the brand’s consumer base and align with evolving payment trends.


In addition to the new payment system, Noochies! received a Pet Business Industry Recognition Award for its Sprinkles line of dog and cat food toppers. The award highlights the product’s appeal and functionality in the pet nutrition market. The Noochies! team will present its products at key industry events in early 2025, including the Super Pet Expo in New Jersey and the Global Pet Expo in Florida. These events will provide opportunities to engage with retailers, distributors, and consumers while showcasing its product range.
